Official Estate Services

Collector Services

Verbal assessments, valuations, and Certificates of Authenticity for R.C. Gorman collectors who need guidance, documentation, or next-step support.

Services We Offer

Official support for artwork questions.

As an additional service to R.C. Gorman collectors, the galleries offer verbal assessments, valuations, and Certificates of Authenticity for R.C. Gorman artwork. When you purchase a Valuation or Certificate of Authenticity through the gallery, you receive an official document with information about your piece, signed and sealed by the R.C. Gorman Estate.

Choose the service based on what you need: artwork identification, current-value documentation, replacement documentation, or confirmation that a work should be reviewed in person.

Service Paths

Choose the right next step.

Each service has a different purpose. Use the guide below to decide whether you need a verbal response, formal valuation, or authenticity documentation.

Verbal Art Assessments

Use this when you need an initial response to questions such as: Do I own an R.C. Gorman artwork? What is the title? Is it an original artwork or a reproduction? What may be the next step?

Prepare a photo of the artwork, dimensions excluding frame and mat, close-up signature image, edition name or number, and any bill of sale, former appraisals, or provenance documents. The assessment fee is $100 per artwork and may be applied toward a Certificate of Authenticity or current Valuation.

Certificates of Authenticity

This is best for collectors who need official documentation specifying whether their piece is an original R.C. Gorman artwork. Artwork must be shipped or brought into the Scottsdale or Santa Fe gallery for in-person evaluation.

Common reasons include confirming an owned piece or replacing a misplaced or damaged original certificate.

Valuations

Valuations provide official documentation regarding the current appraised value of an R.C. Gorman artwork. Factors may include condition, limited edition status, signature, originality, medium, and other artwork-specific details.

Common reasons include estate planning, insurance, sale or consignment support, personal records, and appraisal needs.
