Anaba St II is a 1979 R.C. Gorman lithograph, the quieter companion to Anaba St I, rendered almost entirely in soft cream and taupe tones. A Navajo woman sits with legs outstretched, wrapped in a pale flowing blouse and skirt that resolve into subtle graphite contour lines, her long braid draped over one shoulder and a blue teardrop earring providing the only flicker of color. The understated palette underscores Gorman’s mastery of line and form, showing how much presence he can build from almost nothing. From a 130-piece edition (approx. 30 x 22 in.), this refined lithograph is an elegant acquisition for collectors of Navajo portraiture, drawing-forward Gorman works, and subtle Southwest art.
