Arabesque is a 1976 R.C. Gorman lithograph showing a Native woman seated in profile and wrapped in a patchwork rose, wine, and dusty-pink blanket whose pieced panels fall around her like sculpted folds. Her head is bowed beneath the hood of the blanket and only her bare feet are visible, grounding the triangular composition. The background is a richly textured sienna-gold — a Gorman signature that feels more like weathered adobe than plain paper. Released in an edition of 75 (approx. 22 x 30 in.), Arabesque is a small-edition mid-1970s lithograph and a collector-grade piece for anyone drawn to Gorman’s draped-figure icons, vintage Southwest art, and rare early editions.
