Acomitan

Acomitan is a 1997 R.C. Gorman lithograph showing a seated Pueblo woman in a rose-pink blouse and buttercup-yellow skirt, resting against a beautifully painted Acoma pottery jar decorated with stylized birds, feathers, and black-and-white geometric bands. Her hair is drawn back in a traditional chongo bun, and the soft pastel sunset behind distant mesas creates Gorman’s unmistakable dusk-in-the-desert mood.
